Pricing

Bespoke items are priced on a case-by-case basis since each product is unique. To provide an indication of price ranges, below are some examples of previously sold prints and some key factors that affect the price of an item.

Price Guide

The main factors that influence the cost of a 3D print are:

  • the time required to create the 3D model
  • the material that the item is printed from
  • the size of the item
  • the weight of the item
  • the time it takes to complete the 3D print

3D Design Complexity

If the design is being created by 3D Printing Studio, the time required to create the 3D model will be factored into the final cost of a product.

Material

The material used in creating a 3D print has a significant impact on the final cost of an item. Below is a list of materials in order of relative expense:

  • (£) Single Colour PLA, e.g. Matte Blue
  • (£) Premium Single Colour PLA, e.g. Metallic Green
  • (£) ABS
  • (£) PETG
  • (££) Unique PLA, e.g. Glow in the Dark
  • (££) Multicolour PLA, e.g. Rainbow
  • (££) Wood-filled PLA, e.g. Cork
  • (££) TPU
  • (£££) Metal-filled PLA, e.g. Steel
  • (£££) Carbon-fibre-filled Nylon

It's worth noting that the above list is not exhaustive. If you have a specific material in mind that is not mentioned, feel free to discuss this with us during your consultation.

Item Size

The size of an item will impact the amount of material that is used to create it, which in turn impacts the cost of the finalised print.

Item Weight

The weight of an item is another indicator of the amount of material being used to create a product. This will vary if there are specific weight or strength requirements for your product.

Print Duration

The utilities and manpower required to run and supervise ongoing prints are directly related to the length of a print; the longer a product takes to print, the more attention it will require from the 3D Printing Studio team.

Print duration is impacted by a few factors:

  • Print quality (the higher the quality, the longer a print will take to complete)
  • Item size
  • Item weight
  • The material being used (some materials have restrictions on the speed at which they can be printed)
